Nominate Someone Who Goes the Extra Mile
In honor of Older Americans Month, we will be celebrating Aging Well Month during the month of May. This celebration is organized by community volunteers and spearheaded by Aging Care Connections. It will include informational seminars, intergenerational activities, and fun events in celebration of the older adults in our communities. But most importantly, it will highlight the Community GEMs (Going The Extra Mile) recognition program. This program will distinguish and celebrate the volunteer efforts of 60 individuals aged 60+ making their communities great places to age well.
This is where you come in!
We need your help to nominate these outstanding older adults. If you know of a person from Lyons, Riverside, or Proviso Townships who is 60+ and has, or is currently volunteering and making a difference in the lives of others, please complete the form below.
The Community GEMs nominees will be honored at a luncheon on May 1!
